The Annual PCVAD Research Award Finding a Cure for Porcine Circovirus Associated Disease (PCVAD) Porcine circovirus associated disease (PCVAD) is the relatively new term for a variety of swine diseases causing tremendous economic impact to the global swine industry. These associated diseases include porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV2) postweaning multisystemic wasting syndrome (PMWS), enteritis and porcine dermatitis and nephropathy syndrome (PDNS). Boehringer Ingelheim will provide three $25,000 ($75,000) awards annually to the winning researchers who submit proposals for PCVAD research in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Candidates include swine researchers, academia, veterinarians and veterinary students and producer organizations. Submit your completed PCVAD Research proposal packet by July 1, 2008, to: Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica, Inc.
